The Tuna Non-Sandwich and the Loss of the Weight

Today for lunch I opened a can of tuna, drained the tuna juice, diced a third of an onion, and added some freshly squeezed lemon juice. Only a spoon of non-fat mayonnaise to go… but there wasn't any… so I added some regular yellow mustard. It's actually pretty good, and it does the job of making the tuna a bit more pasty. Then I mixed it all up, and ate it, just like that. No bread. Can't have any. It was very tasty.

I used to be the Hamburger Meister. About 3 burgers a week was my average. And not regular burgers. I mean real cheese-burgers (the cheese is obligatory) with onions, mayo.. the works. Just like the one Samuel Jackson's Mr. Pitt tastes in Pulp Fiction. Three tasty burgers a week. Besides pizza, pasta, etc…

Now, it's been almost 3 months since I've had a sandwich of any kind. Or pizza. Or anything fried for that matter.
I still eat carbs, but only from fruit and whole-wheat stuff. And I enjoy my meat. Red, white, fish, chicken, whatever. I love it all. I only say 'no' to pork.

I'm 6'1, and I went, in less than 3 months, from 266lbs, to my current 221lbs.
No chemicals, no drugs, besides some natural over the counter stuff.

I came to truly enjoy a good salad, and even grilled vegetables. But now, people are saying I'm a becoming a crazed radical, and that I have to enjoy life a bit more. Live a little.

I will. As soon as I get below 200lbs. That's my goal. Till then, I'll remain a radical.

If you're curious, my diet consists usually of:

Breakfast:

  • 2 slices of light whole-wheat bread with any light cheese or spread.
  • 1 glass of juice. Whatever kind I feel like at the moment (also light or diet)

Lunch (same applies to dinner):

  • a bit of salad, some meat, some vegs. Maybe some fruit for desert. Rarely, some whole-wheat rice (lunch only).

I never eat bananas, potatoes, or other fatty food like that. I will eat sashimi, red meat, or drink the occasional diet-soda.

That's it. Seems restrictive and boring. But it's not. So many kinds of meat to enjoy, so many recipes, it's endless.

So I'll remain a 'radical' until I reach my goal. And then I'll enjoy the very occasional burger, pizza, pasta, or even peanut butter. Always keeping an eye on that 200lbs limit, that hopefully, I'll never cross again.
